Inventgenuity Boston

Hello, friends. I just wanted to let you know about the Inventgenuity Festival that’s happening this Sunday, March 18th in Boston. It’s a creative event designed for kids that  will explore will explore a theme of “dis/assembly” with hands-on workshops and on-going collective projects led by expert makers, unmakers and re-makers of sound, electricity, food and objects of all kinds. I’ll be one such maker, leading workshops on making pouches from busted bike tubes. Spread the word!

Here are a couple photos from Inventgenuity Brooklyn 2012:

Listen up parents & kids! This weekend is the Inventgenuity Festival at the Invisible Dog in Brooklyn, NY.  It will explore the theme DIS/ASSEMBLY with two days of hands-on workshops and on-going collective projects led by expert makers, unmakers and re-makers of sound, electricity, food and objects of all kinds.
I’ll be there both days leading workshops on how to make handy pouches from busted bike tubes. This is going to be a grand ol’ mad scientist beehive of activity not to be missed. But, don’t take it from me, take it from the New York Times article all about Inventgentuity!
Interested? Resister here, and come say hi this weekend.

Well, I finally went to sleepaway camp! I spent a wonderful week at Beam Camp in New Hampshire earlier this month. I spent my time as a Domain Guest teaching workshops on bookbinding & beeswax (batik, candles, lip balm, etc.) to kids 7-16, soaking up the camp experience, hanging out at the Art Barn, swimming, exploring, and writing letters. A fun and somewhat frenzied time!
